Capturing the Magic with PhotoPass
In continued preparation for our trip next month it was time to investigate PhotoPass. PhotoPass is a MUST for us every year, as you just can’t beat the incredible images that the Disney photographers capture for you. From Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to dining with the princesses to magical images on your favorite rides; the photographer are always there ready to capture your special moments.

NEW OPTIONS
There are now NEW two options: 1-day PhotoPass+ ($39) OR 7-day PhotoPass+($69). What do the new options offer? Here is an overview:
- All your Disney PhotoPass photos, attraction photos and videos, dining photos and Magic Shots captured.
- For the attraction photos you must capture the code under your photo in order to add it to your online account.
- The number of days that you are allowed to capture depends on the pass you purchase.
- Enjoy 45 days to download each and every moment.
- MOST IMPORTANT! After 45 days they are GONE. Disney cannot retrieve your pictures. Trust me. I made this mistake and shed tears over losing my photos.
- Disney does offer a one-time Expiration Extension ($19.95) that extends your time to 60 days.
- Save, share and relive your magical memories.
RETRIEVING YOUR PHOTOS
Redeeming your purchase of PhotoPass+ is simple.
- Choose a photo and select “Activate” in the Disneyland mobile app or web.
- I was told by a Disney cast member that you should wait until all your pictures are taken to “Activate” your PhotoPass+.
WHAT ABOUT THE OLD PHOTOPASS+?
If you are looking for the what was previously know as PhotoPass+, you now are looking to purchase the Disney PhotoPass Collection ($99) which can be purchased at Main Street Photo Supply in Disneyland Park or Kingswell Camera Shop in California Adventure. This option still includes the DVD of stock images along with all your photos AND a dining print package.

As I mentioned in the intro, we LOVE Disney PhotoPass because it provides the fabulous, fun and magical pictures and the entire family is in every shot! The pictures I have included would not be memories I would have without PhotoPass. I always encourage those I help with their travel plans to purchase this option as part of the Disneyland vacation.
This is the first year that I have purchased the PhotoPass+ in advance and I am anxious to see how I like it. I will report back when we return on the new PhotoPass+ and my opinion on the easy of use.
