The Holidays at Disneyland

I LOVE the holidays at Disneyland. This will be my families 6th year at Disneyland during December. So what is so exciting you say…well let me elaborate on a few of the things to look forward to.

Thanksgiving Meals – Are you going to be at Disneyland during Thanksgiving? You don’t have to miss out on the turkey and stuffing tradition. A variety of restaurants are serving turkey along with different types of stuffing. My pick….Flo’s V8 cafe. I LOVE Flo’s turkey and always eat it during our visit. For more information on Thanksgiving food read the official blog – Turkey Day Just Around the Corner

Snowman crated out of lights.

Small World  snowman created out of lights.

Holiday Rides – I love that Disneyland takes the time to change the decor and theme of some of the rides in Disneyland. Small World is amazing and the large snowman made of lights toward the middle of the ride is so incredible. The Nightmare Before Christmas theme at the Haunted Mansion including Jack Skellington in the ceiling as you head down to your carriage. Last, and arguably the best, is the Jingle Cruise with all the safari animals in their holiday best and the jokes to go along with the holiday season! For more information on the holiday rides read Holidays at Disneyland Resort.

60th Anniversary Cupcake

Holiday Food Treats – Disneyland is always Confection Perfection! Last year it was Mickey Mouse shaped peppermint beignets along with all the the 60th anniversary specialty items. We loved the 60th anniversary caramel apple and the cupcake. They were delicious! Now I have not seen what Disneyland has in store for this holiday season, but I’ll be on the lookout for the next delicious item!

Sleeping Beauty Holiday Castle

Holiday Decorations – The decorations around the park and the hotels are simply phenomenal! Don’t miss out on the tree inside the Disney California Grand! The castle always look beautiful and Main Street is breath taking. Take a moment to allow the Disney PhotoPass staff to take your picture in front of one of these beautifully decorated scenes.

This is only a short list of all the benefits of visiting Disneyland during the holidays. The magic doesn’t get any better than during the most magical time of the year!
