Our third favorite place to eat while in Disneyland is The Plaza Inn. The gorgeous facility was there 60 years ago when the park opened and was one of Walt’s favorite places to eat as in the beginning it had a VIP lounge where Walt could take special visitors to the park. Decorated by Lillian Disney, Walt’s wife, using beautiful 19th century furniture from a home in the historic St. James’ Park district, The Plaza Inn offers generous plates, wonderful options, and the patio is great for people and parade watching!
When looking for somewhere to eat lunch or dinner, my kid’s first choice is The Plaza Inn. Both my son and daughter are HUGE fans of the Penne Pasta with Marinara; a huge bowl of pasta covered in delectable marinara sauce with a soft, warm bread stick. My husband enjoys the absolutely MAGNIFICENT signature roasted chicken plate; three pieces of juicy chicken, with a side of mash potatoes, veggies, and a biscuit. I, myself, am always anxious to have the truly enticing Pot Roast; tender pot roast served with a side of mash potatoes and gravy, veggies, and a flaky biscuit! As if this wasn’t enough, The Plaza Inn offers a spectacular variety of desserts to finish off any meal. My family is particularly fond of the carrot cake. Check out the full lunch/dinner menu.
The Plaza Inn is also the location of one of Disneyland’s fabulous character dining experiences. The Plaza Inn offers the iconic Mickey and Friends Breakfast where your entire party can enjoy an all you can eat buffet breakfast complete with table visits and autographs from your favorite Disney characters. This breakfast runs from around 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM daily. Check out the full breakfast buffet menu. You will need a reservation for character dining.
