#5 River Belle Terrace – Also celebrating 60 Years!

Beautiful view from River Belle Terrace!

Beautiful view from River Belle Terrace!

I thought it would be fun to list the top five places my family likes to eat while we visit Disneyland. We listed out the top places we go and then each of us ranked them…the next few days will highlight the results. We will start with our #5 – River Belle Terrace located in the Disneyland Park in Frontierland. This is one of the original eateries when Disneyland opened in 1955. It is said that you could find Walt sitting there enjoying the view and eating breakfast. So this eatery also plays to my sentimental side!

Our favorite part of this restaurant is the quick, and reasonable (for inside the park) breakfast. My son is a fan of the Mickey Mouse Pancake. My daughter loved the Steamboat; three piping hot pancakes with scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage. I personally enjoy the Mark Twain (eggs/bacon or sausage/breakfast potatoes/biscuit) especially the breakfast potatoes. My husband, the more health conscience one, enjoyed both the Seasonal Fruit and “Build Your Own” Parfait. Here is the breakfast menu for you to review.

You may also eat lunch at this historic eatery. My husband and I enjoyed The Messy Mississippi BBQ Pork sandwich, while both of our kids enjoy kids’ Pasta and Marinara. The full lunch menu is available for view. This restaurant closes its Quick Service around 2:00 P.M. every day.

River Belle Terrace has recently changed to become part of the Fantasmic Dining Packages. These packages offer 3-course meals along with preferential seating at the amazing show Fantasmic. You will be able to eat at the River Belle Terrace before the show and then you will get a FASTPASS ticket to get into the preferred seating area. In order to take advantage of this service you need to make reservations up to 60-days in advance either online or by calling Disney Dining at (714) 781-3463. My family has not used this service yet, but we are anxious to try it out!

So if you are in Disneyland stop by the River Belle Terrace and enjoy some breakfast! Sit back, enjoy the view, and think about how 60 years prior Walt was doing the same thing!
