If your childhood was like mine it was filled with Disney. We watched movies with Halley Mills and Dick Van Dyke. Went to the theater for The Lion King and the Little Mermaid. We were so excited to finally get the Disney Channel on our cable box (that’s right I said “cable box), and our family made the pilgrimage to Disneyland on its 35th anniversary. This was definitely the beginning of the passion, but was by no means the end. A few years ago for a project at school my daughter chose Walt Disney for her hero report. Naturally, we did the research together and this is when my true passion began for Disney. His story is simply amazing, and also controversial. He was not a simple man, and yet he was a man with purpose and vision. It is that vision that is carried on today. So where do I fit in…I don’t ‘work for Disney and I’m not affiliated with them in any way, but I view myself as someone who has the ability to help carry on this vision and bring the joy associated with it to as many people as I can.
What does that mean for you as the follower of this site? Well I intended to provide historical snippets about Walt Disney and his journey, and helpful tips for traveling to Disneyland and navigating the in’s and out’s of the two parks, along with any additional Disney related fun that I think you might find interesting! I am very excited to be sharing what I truly love with all of you and hope to bring some joy and excitement into your life!
